Player Cautions

Dangelo, James

ADMIN COMMENTS

Mr Dangelo attended a P&D and pleaded not guilty to both lightly touching a player and sending a batsman off. Riverton gave their version of events and explained that there was a fair bit of confusion about the catch and it was eventually verified by the Canning Vale spectators and players off the field. James claimed he was telling him that even his own team said he was out although admitted it didn't look good but at this stage the umpire had not given the batsman out and the batsman was adamant it was a six. The umpires report stated at he had his back to the batsman and fielder as he was trying to ascertain the validity of the catch and didn't hear anything that warranted a report. The panel deliberated and decided that the lightly touching report was not warranted and the circumstances surrounding the alleged sendoff warranted a caution. Jame Dangelo - Caution (see By-Law 64)
