Welcome to the SMCA

The South Metropolitan Cricket Association fosters cricket in suburbs south of the Swan River.

From Fremantle to Cannington, to Armadale, Serpentine and across to Kwinana, there are currently 23 Clubs affiliated with the SMCA as well as an Umpires Association.


Leeming Spartan have won the First Grade Grand Final, beating SJ Blues 140 runs to 86.

In the Second Grade Hilton Bicton best Willetton Crows 136 to 66.

Cockburn beat CBC in the Third Grade, Hilton Bicton made it a double beating Cockburn in the Fourth Grade. Cockburn also had a win in Fifth Grade with a comfortable win over Jandakot Park and in the Sixth Grade Cockburn made it three premierships with a win over Hilton Bicton.

Premiers in the One Day Grades were; ODA Leeming Spartan. ODB Kelmscott. ODC Kardinya Lakes. ODD East Fremantle. ODE Armadale. ODF Leeming Spartan. ODG Piara Waters. ODH Phoenix.

Chad Forsyth of Leeming Spartan scored 13 points to win the 2020-21 Jim McKenna Medal for the best First Grade player. Second place went to SJ Blues Damian Leipold with 11 votes. Both Chad and Damian scored points in 5 of the 7 matches.

Alan Zanich of Thornlie and Benjamin Hill of Willetton Crows have tied for the Ian Hale Medal, the Second Grade's Fairest and Best Award. Kim Forrest of Hilton Bicton has finished Third.

Hilton Bicton have won the Brian Waterer Shield for the 2020-21 season. Cockburn finished second and last years winner CBC finished third.

List of Trophy Winners for 2020-21. Qualfication for both Batting and Bowling is 7 days played in the grade as well as a minimum of 150 runs in Batting and 15 Wickets in Bowling. Trophies will be presented at the SMCA Windup.
