The South Metropolitan Cricket Association fosters cricket in suburbs south of the Swan River.

From Fremantle to Cannington, to Armadale, Serpentine and across to Kwinana, there are currently 23 Clubs affiliated with the SMCA as well as an Umpires Association.

News

The F15 Fixtures have now been released.  Matches start on 26th November.  There are 3 divisions of 5 teams with the three top tops and best performing second side making the semi finals.

Kelmscott have been withdrawn from ODE and replaced by Kardinya Lakes.  Kwinana have been added to ODH which creates a bye.

The Cricket West Cup will be played over Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th January, on turf , with Seniors and Colts at Charles Veryard and the Veterans at Murdoch using a white ball, with State Reps being selected. The Finals will be played at the WACA, Sunday 12 January.

If any club shall not be able to play in any match arranged by the Association or field a team, such club shall forfeit the match and give notice (name of club, grade and opposition club) to the Association Secretary (0419 948 762) not later than 9pm on the Thursday preceding the date arranged for the match. The Association Secretary will then notify the opposition club of the forfeit.

All captains of teams where there is no officially appointed umpire should be aware of the details for the Match Day Referee.  For the 2019-20 season the Match Day Referee is Ian Hale, phone 0409 688 319. Should a captain deem it necessary to contact the Match Day Referee the opposing captain must also be available to speak with the Referee.
