Todd Gill wins McKenna Medal

Leeming Spartan's Todd Gill has won this seasons Jim McKenna Medal.

Gill scored 12 points in 6 matches to beat Brad Bootsma (CBC) and Craig Stewart (Phoenix) who were one vote back with 11. Thornlie's Ben Harris was third with 10 votes.

Des Smith 500 Games

Des Smith from Phoenix will play his 500th match this weekend, in a Grand Final!

Des has scored 11,193 runs, won 6 premierships with 2 as the skipper. He was made a Life Member of the Phoenix Club in 1996 and has committed himself to numerous roles at the club including President, Treasurer, Chairman of Selectors as well as being captain of various sides. A true Club Legend!
