G. Silvestri pleaded guilty. The facts as reported by the umpires were not disputed. Both team captains were commended for their actions in controlling the situation after the incident. The panel noted that A. Silvestri had previously found guilty of a level 2 offence on 27 Nov 2018.

Penalty:

G. Silvestri found guilty of a Level 2 Code of Conduct Offence and suspended immediately from playing for six (6) playing dates from 18 Jan 2020. A further 10 weeks suspended penalty was given to G. Silvestri. This suspended penalty to remain in force for a period of two(2) years. Piara Waters Cricket Club fined $100 for guilty player verdict. The panel expressed disappointment that incidents like this occur and that they are not tolerated.
