Since the start of the season, we have seen five Club players/members face suspensions, with a further two to attend a P&D session Tuesday, we are only in week four of the season. We have also issued a caution to remind suspended players of their responsibilities on game day. When is enough, enough?
As President of the Association, I urge all clubs to reinforce the importance of proper conduct, both on and off the field. Our shared goal is to enjoy the game of cricket. As discussed in our last General Meeting, we will no longer tolerate unsportsmanlike behaviour. Clubs have been cautioned, and the P&D is committed to addressing this issue before it escalates further. If it means making examples of certain players to discourage such behaviour, we will take that necessary step.
