Ron McDonald Awarded SMCA Life Membership

Ron has represented the Association in Inter-Association matches, not only as a player at Senior and Veteran level but also as the Team Manager and Assistant Team Manager as well as Scorer for both the Seniors and Veterans teams for seven years over a period of 10 years.

Ron held the position of Chairperson of the Association Tribunal for ten years, hearing and determining all the Associations disciplinary issues, having only recently retired. He has umpired both Association games, including Final fixtures and games the Association have played against other Associations.

Ron is the current leading game player for the Leeming Spartan Cricket club, having played 525 games over a 36-year continuous period, he is a Life Member of the club, held position of Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Selector and numerous other positions as general Committee member over those 36 years.
