John Griffin awarded Life Membership of SMCA

John Griffin was awarded Life Membership of the SMCA at the windup held on Tuesday night.
John's service to cricket goes back many years. His service to the SMCA started as a delegate for the Hilton Bicton club. In 2012-13 he joined the SMCA Executive Committee and became Senior Vice President in 2013-14 and served for 4 years. In 2017-18, with the Administrator overwhelmed by the workload, he took over the newly established position of Secretary, where he served for 6 seasons. He also served the SMCA as CricketWest delegate and on the SMCA P&D Tribunal, mostly as convenor. His work ethic is second to none and it was the Life Membership Committee's honour to nominate him and for the SMCA Executive to accept the nomination of John for Life Membership.
