The SMCA Executive has become aware of clubs not complying with the helmet policy. Some clubs claim to not know about the rule although it was voted on at the AGM, is part of the By-Laws, included in the Information to Clubs and has been displayed on the web site for some time.

At the SMCA Executive meeting on 17 October it was confirmed that a match must not proceed if a required player is not wearing a helmet. This is applicable to both teams where a match has proceeded contrary to By-Law 53.
