The Senior Executive of the SMCA met via video conference again tonight, to discuss the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown, and its potential impacts on our current season. We still recommend all Clubs and players plan to play this Saturday, unless advised otherwise by the SMCA.

Matches Abandoned

The SMCA Senior Executive have decided that all SMCA matches scheduled for this Saturday, 6th February, have been abandoned.  The SMCA Senior Executive will meet again on Monday to reassess the situation.

Fixture Update

At Monday nights SMCA Committee Meeting the following was decided:

The fixtures remain as published, with fixtures on 13th February being the second day of a two-day came where no play is possible on the first day due to no fault of either team (rain, COVID). Download rules.   Round 11 for the one day grades is abandoned.

The T20 finals will be played on Sunday 21st February.

Round 3 of the F15 comp be abandoned and the final will be played next Tuesday 16th February. Cockburn 1 v Thornlie at Davilak Oval.

Qualification for Finals

The SMCA Executive has amended the qualification for finals to three matches.

This means that By-Law 41 (in part) should now read - A player must be named in the team 11 in at least three (3) days of fixtured matches with his club to be eligible for finals. Being named as 12th man or as a substitute for a match does not count for finals qualifications. No player shall play in a lower grade final unless he has played the majority of days in that grade or lower. For the purpose of this rule the term “majority” means more than half.

ODH - Armadale have forfeited their match against Roleystone Karragullen.

Player Scores

Clubs are reminded of the requirement to submit all match scores, results and player scores using MyCricket, by 10am this Sunday

By-Law 7 C (2) For the final day of the qualifying match prior to the end of season final both teams are responsible for submitting all player scores, using MyCricket, by 10am on the day after play. Failure to meet these deadlines will incur a fine of $100.00 per offending team.

ODF - Hilton Bicton have forfeited their match against Kelmscott.
