It is without question that player behaviour in this weekends Grand Finals is expected to be of a high standard. The same is expected of spectators. Some poor spectator behaviour was reported in last week's semi final and this has resulted in one person receiving a lengthy suspension. Clubs are responsible for the behaviour of their players and supporters and if there is any unacceptable behaviour penalties may apply. It is an offence in Western Australia for persons of any age to drink alcohol in public, such as on the street, park or beach. Police will be called if necessary.
Six players will have a suspension carry over into next season. This is by far the worst number of any season. This indicates that a number of players are not playing in the spirit of our great game.
